Georges River Libraries is celebrating the cultural diversity of the Georges River area and beyond with a number of free Harmony Day themed events at our libraries.
Harmony Day aims to encourage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster a sense of belonging for everyone. It is held every year on March 21.
Kogarah Library will host a Henna art workshop on Tuesday 21 March with Gul Mehndi. Participants will learn about the history of henna, the various styles of henna, how to hold a henna cone and basic drawing techniques. Workshop for ages 18 and up. Book here.

Victor Valdes will visit Hurstville Library on Thursday 23 March with an exciting Latin American harp performance. Victor is a walking encyclopaedia of Latin music past and present, and has played with everyone from Angus & Julia Stone and Los Lobos to Jimmy Barnes. Book here.
